The locking mechanism works well along with the finger print reader. Yes the metal is thin but what do you expect at this price point. My main issues are with the lack of quality the gun rest on the inside right of the safe was broken and barely hanging on, there is rust near weld points where the paint has chipped off, there was also a large chip on the bottom of the outside.
Its a lock box that will do its job, but I might have to paint some parts to prevent further rusting.

Contacted customer service they sent me a replacement for the broken part and a door organizer for free. Costumer service was quick to respond and ship items. Had some extra black spray paint so I hope that stops the rust spots. However I still wouldnt recommend you try buying it
